Very inauspicious start to the year. First two matches we have Brits beaten by pesky foreigners over to nick our points and in the 3rd match (all GB) we have a retirement through injury.

According to livescore 3 breaks each in a set that finished 7-5....
Yep. Stats also show Dan won 6 games in a set he lost 7-5. That's why I said "lots of breaks" and wasn't more specific. I am guessing their were 5 in total.
Should I be surprised that I went over my ankle 3rd point after a 30 minute warm up? Probably not. Desperately gutted. #anyluckplease
Hope it's not too serious
If it went on the 3rd point, I'm hoping that the fact he managed to play out the rest of the set means it won't set him back for too long. Presumably it was hampering him but he still thought he had a chance, but when he lost the 1st set, it didn't seem sensible to carry on.

Marzi and Dan in a monster game at the start of set two. Dan is 1-0* up but the second game is going on forever. Infact, I think Ed has just played a complete set while these two battle out this one game.
Ed won the first set 6-3.
