Am I right in thinking this tournament is Jazzi Plews' senior debut? She had an amazing winning record in juniors in 2012 but couldn't win a match in 2013 so maybe 2014 will see her return to winning ways.
Given Magazzini's past junior and senior results, the fact she's been given a wild card in Spain when she's not Spanish is a bit of a mystery. Hopefully for Jazzamay's sake, it doesn't mean she's better than her results suggest!
Edit: A tweeter (@WilliamDalton8) points out that 3 of the WCs here are Italian and the tournament is being played at an academy run by someone with an Italian name. These two facts may not be related but ...

Maybe she trains down there ? Or maybe there's some arrangement with her Italian tennis school/federation because actually all the wildcards seem to be Italian so there's definitely something 'de pesce' going on . .. (anyway, all good in that she's not an unknown budding star and Jazzy has every chance . .. . )
Jazzamay breaks again then gets broken back but breaks again to take the 1st set 6-2
She is going for her first ever ITF Pro Circuit main draw win after 5 years of trying. She got her one (and so far only) ranking point in June 2012, when she beat Croatia's Ivana Vukovic in QR1 at Nottingham 50K.

Congrats to Jazzamay (still one of the best names out there!). And although the '5 years of trying' sounds a tiddly bit dire (smile), she is only 19 . . .

Indeed She has played over 50 ITF Pro Circuit events, qualifying a few times but never winning R1 before, so it's definitely a reward for persistence
