The good news for Marcus is that Weintraub lost, so he should have an easier QF.
18pts to defend in Jan (Gary advised), so would be nice to cover most of this in next two weeks. A semi and final is not beyond expectations, so min 16pts.
Edit - just realised they are playing for three weeks in Israel so 22pces should be a min expectation for Marcus
F1 - draw opened up with Weintraub gone
F2 - looks much stronger field
F3 - slighly weaker field

Marcus is the only seed left in the top half of the draw, but his QF opponent, Luca Vanni, (who knocked out top seed Weintraub) has a CH ranking of 272 only 18 months ago, so it is not going to be easy.
Edit
Beaten by SC again.

Marcus is actually defnding a total of 24 points ( 18 + 6 ) from GB F1&2 last year, the equivalent weeks to Israel F1&2 this year. It's just that only the 18 points actually comes off in January ( 27/01 ) when this week will add in, with the 6 coming off on 03/02.
Nothing further due off until 10 points due off on 17/03
Neither player defending any doubles points until the 4th GB future with Lewis taking that title.
So if they could manage to take the 3 Eilat titles (which I don't think is a massive ask as long as they stay healthy) that would put them around 256 and 260 so on the verge of a CR 500.
Fingers crossed I haven't jinxed them as their semi is no easy match
Marcus/Lewis' doubles semi will be streamed on e-tennis, not before 11.30 (i think)
Currently showing the young swedish kid, Ymer, 17 year-old son of the Ethiopian marathon runner (for anyone who likes to see a little bit live of some of the youngsters who make the news).
Doubles just started, went up an early break only for Lewis to get broken straight away after a dodgy line call on the first point of the game. Lewis getting pretty mouthy with the umpire already.
