Too late, I have already edited that I read back and found the answer. I was too eager when I switched on! I had already loaded the scoreboard and posted before reading the thread.
First seed withdrew; third seed lost to Gianni Mina, who has the talent to knock anyone at Futures level off if he's having an on day. Second seed's loss more interesting; never heard of his opponent, who is the lone player from Barbados on the tour (at least as per the ATP rankings page) ... but more power to him!

I haven't checked the draw but is it Darian King? Only player from Barbados I've heard of.. didn't realise he was the only one. Only 21 and broke top 400 last year so decent player.
after todays play, kyle highest seed left in the draw, the only seed in his half, but still, one match at a time, big one tomorow

That may mean dodgy conditions or lots of under-ranked college players in the draw, of course.
I actually think it is more a case of this being a much more even standard throughout the draw. When you look at the typical summer Futures (when there are 20+ tournaments going on in the same week) you will get a few high ranked seeds, but often you will get players with a ranking of 1500+ getting directly into the main draw. The imbalance is heavily in favour of the seeds.
Here, we have most of the seeds ranked in the 300s and 400s. But there are also multiple players in the 500s and 600s. To me, I don't think that at this level 100 places in the rankings means that much.
If you take Kyle's opponent today, he is ranked 679 and yet had to come through qualies. Given the much more even rankings throughout the MD, I don't think it is necessarily surprising that so many of the seeds have gone out.
This is a tournament where anyone can beat anyone. Let's just hope that from here on, Kyle proves me wrong and the top remaining seed goes on to win the tournament.
Tend to agree, BiS. Looking down the list, pretty well everyone there could win. Almost all of them already have won singles titles, and some of them have won multiple singles titles. Anything is possible - though we have grounds for hope!
