Let's hope this isn't a reverse of his 2nd round match!

Brilliant start.

Same thought crossed my mind.

Now 2-1* up in the 2nd set.

Kyle now a break up in the 2nd set, 3-1

And holds on, after being pegged back to deuce, to move 4-1 ahead

Thought this could be one sided due to the head to head beatings in the mind , no matter how much the Japanese player has improved it's still had to play on the mind a lot

Call me a pessimist, but this isn't over yet.

So is Nishioka going to match the 4 games he got the other 3 times they played?

Hopefully not, because Kyle breaks and will serve for the match ... 6-0 *5-3

FINAL: (4) Kyle Edmund WR 372 beat Yoshihito Nishioka (JPN) WR 441 (= CH) by 0 & 3

Very impressive indeed. Kyle seemed to get better and better as the week went on. This is his 4th Futures singles title (all on clay) and should see him rise 30-40 places into the 330s, closing in on his career high again.
