What's he defending in the first few months and where will he rise to after this week?
At this time last year, Kyle was slogging through Q128s in the States and despite winning something like 13 or 14 matches over 3 weeks, he only scored 2 points. By my calculations the 10 guaranteed points this week will see him rise to about 353 and a win in the final would boost that by another 20 places, more or less.
Looking slightly further forwards, Kyle only has a total of 11 points to defend in the before the end of April so he has almost covered those already. His first major points to come off are 18 on 12th May, so plenty of scope for rankings rise in the next few months.
gona be facing nishioka in the final, beat him twice easily last year, but get the impression that he's a much improved player since they last played. Altough saying that, so is kyle
FINAL: (4) Kyle Edmund WR 372 v Yoshihito Nishioka (JPN) WR 441 (= CH)
8 months younger than Kyle, Nishioka has won 18 out of 19 Futures singles matches since the start of December! However, Kyle leads their H2H 3-0, having beaten him at the Canadian Open juniors in 2012 and at Vero Beach Futures and Wimbledon juniors last year, with the Japanese player winning just 4 games every time.

Great to see another commanding performance from Kyle. Like tennis36 mentioned, I'm sure nishioka has improved since their last meeting but I would still hope that Kyle has too much quality for him to handle. Fingers crossed for his first singles title of the year
