I would presume the courts are much slower here than in Dubai so i would have thought Brown would struggle, watching him in Dubai he wanted to be at the net within 3 shots every point, very interesting to watch

The word on the street following Brisbane, was that the courts were playing superfast this year down under, and that Melbs would be the same, so that'll be interesting to see if that in fact is not the case.
Well I certainly expected Dan to win this match but a 1 and 2 win is pretty emphatic and a very positive start to his campaign. That being said Fucsovics is about to secure an equally emphatic win and will be a much tougher test in round 2.

Fucsovics is a bit like Dan. He has a number of very good wins and just as many very poor losses. The match really could go either way and with Gicquel seemingly heading to defeat the winner of it will be favourite to qualify.
