Dasha had to retire from her match in the British Tour at Exeter today - hope she's OK.
As a bit of a youth-fest, in the quarter-finals there is:
Ola Pitak (age 13),
Maria Budin (turned 14 a couple of days ago),
Jennifer Timotin (age 14)
Lauren Dowling (age 15),
Lily Ghodrati (age 15),
Kasia Pitak (age 16),
Ceire Mullins (age 17),
Grace Dixon (age 17)

Ola is a name that has popped up before - one for the future.
She popped up on a list of players receiving a grant from tennis first - interesting list.

Yes. And she came up when she did quite well in one of the other tour events a few months ago.
However, she lost today to the girl only a few of months older:
Maria Budin def. Ola Pitak 7-6(3) 6-4
Her sister also lost in a third-set tie-break (coach Dad probably not best pleased . . .)
Ceire Mullins [4] def. Kasia Pitak [8] 2-6 7-5 7-6(1)
In the other two QFs:
Grace Dixon [7] def. Lily Ghodrati [3] 6-0 6-1
Jennifer Timotin [6] def Lauren Dowling 6-0 6-2

Young Mia Smith (who once got so much publicity) lost her British Tour qualification match - it's certainly a tough life, tennis . ..

Both Dasha K and Fran Stephenson 'lost' their matches today in Swansea, giving a walkover to their respective opponents.
Hope they're ok . . .
