hev broke back for *1-2
but broken again 1-3*

hevs 2nd serve win % has been so weak this year (~30%) she needs about 65-70% 1st serve in to keep herself in matches
shes only 20% so far

got to serve better or this could be quick despite her massive fighting skills

*2-5
creating plenty bps but gets broken too easy herself

needs a first hold of the match

2-6
final game hev was 40-0 back to deuce with a DF then a 2nd serve ace but got no more 1st serves in and was broken
yet to hold serve but the serving is improving

hope for more improves in set 2 to give hev best chance

great fight (naturally) in her fist set 2 service game
better serving and a hold under repeated pressure
1st serve % now at 57%

2-6 1-1*

2-6 3-6 :(
solid looking performance from BMS and a routine enough win

hevs serve is coming under so much pressure that her fight is expended in just keeping level
if she dont serve good from the outset shel struggle against the top ~50 unless things change

hoping for a kind AO Q draw at least

if BMS played ¼ as well against hev as she just did against genie then hev did well to win 5 games!
bethanie could cause some upsets this year at this rate she was lights out

And BMS wins again, playing some exquisite tennis to knock out Radwanska 5&2! No shame in Heather losing to her!

BMS really was good wasn't she. She took Aga apart pretty comprehensively.

BMS is probably the streakiest player on the WTA tour, anywhere from top 10 tennis to top 150 tennis is possible on any given day.

I thought BMS's coach was ace when he came on for some on-court coaching. Think she was 4-5* down at the time. Said she was playing brilliantly (partly true, up to then it had been a real mix of superb and shocking tennis from BMS). Kept telling her to have fun, enjoy the match, push Ag Rad around the court then kill. Think BMS won the next 6 games and should have broken again but for being a bit careless at 3-0*
