RE: British Tour 2014

In the semis, Alex Jhun put out top seed Skalsky and Marshall Tutu did well to get rid of the challenge from Omar Alawadhi.

So Alex v Marshall tomorrow . . .

Dan Cox is down to play the Tour event at Hull.

Which is a bit of a surprise.

Match practice ? Wants a cheque ? A connection to Hull ?

Peter Ashley is the second seed (WR 1550) so there's not much depth in numbers here.

Dan had (seemingly) quite a tough time overcoming Sam Sutton but the semis are now:

(1) Dan Cox v (3) Clay Crawford

(2) Peter Ashley v (4) David Porter

A huge entry at Lougborough this week - think it must be a tier one Tour event (never understand why it's not in the heading) - full entry pre-qualies, as well as qualies and MD.

Semis:

Dan Cox v Nicholas Nugent

Neil Pauffley v Oliver Hudson

Glad to see Neil playing again - hope the injury is truly healed. And he played Bloomers in the quarters - good to see Richard still plying his craft . . .

Think this is the last one before the year end BT Masters.  Starting this year, the guy and gal at the top of the respective leaderboards after the last event get a £1,000 bonus payment.

How many points do you get for winning?

I'm guessing Bloomers has won it and Neil will consolidate runners up position.

The girls is a little closer between Mollie and Beth

 Tier 1 (this comp) winner = 1000pt, runner up = 750pt

Tier 2  winner = 750pt, runner up = 565pt

I'm not sure the British Tour was designed for the likes of Bloomers or Goodall to take the prize money.... I think it was meant for up and coming players to pick up some cash to help fund their career.

I see Goodall has his eye on the masters money now - £2000 for winning.
