Will they not fill SE or withdrawal vacancies by the best ranked players on the original entry list ?

I wouldn't put money on this, but I'm pretty sure they're filled from those who have actually signed in to qualify and who have been accepted into the qualifying draw, in order of merit (i.e. highest ranking first).  This would include alternates who had signed in and been accepted into the qualifying draw.

Indiana is correct - i.e. they fill places in the main draw from the original entry list, so Tara will have to go through qualifying unless a late main draw wild card becomes available and she is given that. Signing in for qualifying won't help her get a spare draw place if she wasn't on the original entry list.

However, The Optimist is correct that she'll probably end up as the top seed in the main draw, but it'll be after coming through qualifying.

I stand corrected.  Bit tough on whoever she draws in the qualifying event though!

Yes, I always feel for the unfortunate players who end up in the ringer's part of the draw when that happens!

Well at least Lauren will not drawn Tara as both will be seeded in qualifying, but two girls will be unlucky. Jess Ren looks like she has made main draw as Sam has withdrawn.

Looks like we should have a busy week with so many seeds:

Glasgow men -Corrie, Rice, Smethurst, Hewitt and Gabb
Glasgow women -Jade, Anna, Katy Tara(?)
Eilat men - Willis
Sunrise men - Edmund, Ward
