So we know Sam Murray not going to Aus - lets hope Tara and Naomi get in to qualifying.

Kyle and AWard in the States - perhaps to warm up for Davis Cup

Marcus will probably play Glasgow as Lewis is entered as first choice there.

I suspect Sam Murray is keeping her options open, regards the Aussie Open and will monitor the quali lists before the Glasgow cancellation date.

Are we predicting any qualifiers down under?

Glasgow looks rather loaded for both the men and women at the moment, although I suspect there will be a lot of withdrawals in the next few days.

I know i've had a few digs at the LTA on here before for not supporting the up and coming players by putting on women's 10Ks, but we haven't really got that many that would make main draw.
Generally, these are 450-800 ranked players so just:

Anna, Katy, Lucy, Dasha, Laura D, Anna F, Manisha, Katie B.

Of the other potential players to benefit, Harriet, Jess Simpson and Fran plus the juniors would be the ones the LTA would like to see progress(I assume)

I see Jade and Sam have entered, but their future lies in 25K+ tournaments.

Of those left Anna and Katy will soon be moving up to 25K level. Katie B has not entered, Manisha is based in Spain and there are a few of the girls watching the Egypt/Spain list to decide where to play.

This could lead to one of the least populated GB entries in a GB 10K for sometime.

Sam and Jade will be seeded. Anna is almost certainly in and I suspect Katy will be too, but I cannot see any more, which will leave the wildcards extremely difficult to select from. Jasmine and Izzy should get two of them.

Looks like we have 8 GB entries in the main draw for the men in Glasgow with Tom F and Josh M probably in. Neil P should also make the cut.

Just 3 GB girls in the women's main draw, Sam, Jade and Anna. Katy will probably get in, Lucy may get in. Izzy has withdrawn.

Hmm, think I may go through to Glasgow on a day or two to see events.

Then again, I might reappraise this when more sober.

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL !!

looks like Katie B, Izzy and Freya have gone out for Aussie Open juniors for a month hence why they have not entered Glasgow

Katy is now into the MD at Glasgow and Lucy Brown is only three places away.

Tom F is also in and Josh is top of the Q list, with Neil third, so with a very good chance for both of them to make it.

Laura D has withdrawn from Martinique though (long way to go for one tournament).

Well the withdrawal deadline is tomorrow when the ITF offices open again, so expect to see a lot of withdrawals then.

Yep, agree, most people leave it to the last minute.

There's a lot of withdrawals that are dated today (1st Jan) though so I guess that the online system has been working fine.

It isn't the case that lots players leave it till the last minute. What happens is that at the withdrawal deadline players are automatically withdrawn from all events other than their highest remaining choice.

I think it's best to wait until tomorrow, but it looks like Marcus and Lewis are playing Israel rather than Glasgow.

Lewis has withdrawn from Glasgow, but Marcus is still entered in both.

Sam and Jade are now top 2 seeds, Katy and Lucy are in the draw and Dasha and Manisha are likely to be in.

Judging by the fact that Dan, Joko and Tara are all on the entry lists for Sunderland in WK4 - i suspect they aren't that confident.
