Not only as paulisi said has Naomi got little to defend before the end of April ( 25 points before 21/04 ), she will have relatively little to defend before the end of October ( 124 points before 27/10 ). Now, with possibly more to add, more than half of her counting rankng points will have been earned in 6 late year tournaments.
Currently in running :
124 points from first 10 counting tournaments
132 points from last 6 counting tournaments ( first of which comes off on 27/10/14 )
256 points in total from 16 counting tournaments

In addition, the number of points needed for any given ranking position is likely to gradually reduce over the course of 2014, particularly at this level, as the changes to the rankings system take effect, which can only add to the advantage of having scored most of her points late in the year.
Of course, the end of 2014 could be a bit scary, with so many points to defend and it being impossible to defend them all by matching this year's performances, but if she can make big strides up the rankings early next year, that may not end up mattering too much, in the sense that the higher up the rankings you go, the fewer places you drop for a given number of points coming off.
All in all, Naomi's success over the last few weeks and the ranking changes probably make the first three quarters of 2014 her best ever chance (and quite possibly the best chance she will ever get) to make a really significant move towards the top 100.
