L32: Tara Moore WR 220 v Gioia Barbieri (ITA) WR 253 (= CH after reaching the SFs in Pune)
L32: Naomi Broady WR 261 v (WC) Inci Ogut UNR (14yo)

The winners are likely to play the 4th (Mestach) & 3rd (Krunic) seeds respectively in R2.

That's a good win

L16: Tara Moore WR 220 v (4) An-Sophie Mestach (BEL) WR 145 (CH 131 in Oct)

H2H 0-2, both this year and both in 3 sets - Mestach won 8-6 in a 3rd set tiebreak in Bath in March & with a 3rd set retirement in France in October.

L16: Naomi Broady WR 261 v (3) Aleksandra Krunic (SRB) WR 143 (CH 126 in Sep) - H2H 0-1 (see below)

Krunic (then a qualifier) beat Naomi 5 & 0 at Quanzhou 50K in 2010 then went on to win the title.

And Naomi takes the first set TB 7-4 !!!

(but Naomi does rather have a track record of first set victories, three set losses, against good players . . . not a criticism really, just as much that you can see her opponent getting used to her rather atypical game . . . and, anyway, today's another day . .. . )
