Bas has dropped the first set 6-1, the other two are playing each other.
Great chance for Luke to play the weekend.
QF: Luke Bambridge WR 758 defeated (Q) Jonathan Kanar (FRA) WR 2053 by 3 & 2
SF: (Q) Niels Lootsma (NED) WR 1603 vs Luke Bambridge WR 758
The Dutch boy struggled to serve out the match against the third seed, but served 15 aces to Bas's one in his eventual win!
GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!GB top 25s (ranks, whereabouts) & stats - http://www.britishtennis.net/stats.html
As I feared, the Germans proved a handful:
SF: Mats Moraing & Tom Schönenberg (GER/GER) CR 1877 (1211+666) defeated (4) Luke Bambridge & Evan Hoyt CR 1353 (514+839) by 3-6 6-3 [10-3]
I half-expected this:
SF: (3) Marko Danis & Ivo Klec (SVK/SVK) CR 1379 (946+433) defeated (2) Scott Clayton & Toby Martin CR 1284 (598+686) by 6-4 4-6 [10-6]

Well, at least that meant you half-expected that they'd win too
Shame that both pairs lost in a MTB but two semi-finalists is pretty good.
And well done again to Luke - suddenly seems to have broken out of the trading range that he'd been stuck in for so long, brilliant.
Nice run going for Luke, a good chance of getting to the final and a great end to the year

Yes, Heraklion last month when he beat Liam in the semis and lost to Oli in the final.
How forgetful of me.....Luke had 3 bps at 2-1, but has failed to take.
but takes the fourth 3*-1
Luke bags the first set by 6-2.
