Elizabeth matches her record number of games won in an ITF pro circuit match but GB will have to settle for 2/3 here today:

L32: (7) Katy Dunne WR 626 beat Stamatia Fafaliou (GRE) WR 906 (CH 557 in 2008) by 1 & 0
L32: Harriet Dart WR 1231 beat (Q) Valeriya Solopaeva (RUS) UNR (16yo JWR 712) by 0 & 4
L32: (WC) Elizabeth Thomas UNR lost to Vishesh Vishnu (IND) WR 1231 (CH 1186 in Sep) by 7-6(5) 6-1

L16: (7) Katy Dunne WR 626 v (Q) Jaimy-Gayle van der Wal (NED) UNR
L16: Harriet Dart WR 1231 v (4) Elena-Teodora Cadar (ROU) WR 541 (=CH)

Great job, Harriet - winning 6-0 6-4

this is Harriet's third 'proper' point - getting a point for managing to secure a wild-card into a 25k MD doesn't really count - so well done to her. Next up is ET Cadar which will almost certainly be a large step too far but who knows . . .

Not content with keeping my Twitter mistakes under control (you'd think that was a big enough job for anyone wink), a tweeter and forum lurker points out that even if you meant this year, it's her 4th 'proper' point out of her total of 5. I assume you must mean this year because she also picked up 20 proper points in 2011/12.

Sorry if I'm causing you grief ! I meant this year and forgot about last week's one coz I quickly checked on WTA and there was only Shrewsbury (didn't count), rethymno and Nottingham.

But, yes, quite right, me all wrong, with last week's that makes four 'proper' points now  . . . sorry cry

Looks like Katy has been passing on some merciless thrashing tips - that's an amazing result against last week's Sharm champion!

As in the 1st set, Katy went 3-4* down then broke back but this time she got broken again so van der Wal is serving for the 2nd set. 6-4 4-5*
