Pity about Scott, but another encouraging scoreline given that Grozdanov is ranked over 800 places above him.
The round-up:
L16: (Q) Scott Clayton WR 1269 lost to (8) Tihomir Grozdanov (BUL) WR 452 (CH 443 in Sep) L16: (6) Oli Golding WR 418 beat Matthieu Roy (FRA) WR 748 (CH 728 in Aug) by 2 & 1
QF: (6) Oli Golding WR 418 v Evgeny Karlovskiy (RUS) WR 842 (CH 840 last week)
Karlovskiy has already figured in Oli's 12-match (22 straight sets against non-Brits) winning streak - Oli thrashed him 1 & 0 in R1 in Rethymno last month.

By the way, so very right, those who said Oli would be back playing before the season end.
I was one that, while accepting that his recovery time shouldn't be too long, did think that he would basically call it quits for the season and concentrate on next season.
I am delighted that he didn't. Very encouraging few weeks, and now world top 400 and GB top 10 beckon.
If my calculations are correct (which is by no means certain) Oli would need to reach the final here or the semi and then a QF next week to crack the 400......
Oli's match should be about to start. But if he doesn't win, he may already have another "ground breaking" career lined up for himself.

Hmm ?
My creativity flies like the aeroplanes. I can build a brain without reading the instructions
This tournament isn't in Uruguay is it, where they have just legalised marijuana ?
I too was wondering whether this latest 'trip' was one too many LOL but I doubt they've suddenly legalised drugs in Qatar! Don't worry though, turns out it's a line from Muerte en Hawaii's song "Calle 13"

Hmm. Death in Hawaii ? Oli should be 5-0 up then. Book him Dano.
