After all wildcards awarded Tara is up to #3 alt on the latest official lists.
De Brito is apparently not playing but has not officially withdrawn, so that will move her up another spot. I still expect a few last minute withdrawals.
@TheTennisTalker still 1st. doubtful I'll get in now as everyone is here I'm pretty sure. oh well next year!
I overheard two old blokes (over 80, in my opinion) on the bus yesterday talking about how a 'little accident' could be arranged (this was south London at its best!) - maybe I should see if they've got any Aussie contacts ??? . . . :)
In the men's qualifying draw, Molchanov (WR 286) was the last player in, with Panfil just missing out, and Molchanov is still shown at 1st Alt on the MTF list, so there must have been a very last-minute withdrawal there. In other words, there's probably still some hope.
I've also just realised that the rankings tennisforum used to compile their list are a week out ... they are showing the last player in at the moment as having been ranked 220 on 16 Dec, but Tara was ranked 220 that day, up from 221 the week before. I'm sure Tara herself is correct about the current situation though.

Yes the lists are out slightly. Tara is ahead of Marcinkevica, and Konta was also one place further up the main draw list (although this has now been corrected).
