Getting to the point where I am trying to draw conclusions from even the smallest things and this could well be a case of 2+2=5, but for Liam to have withdrawn at 6-0 3-0, it would have to have been something serious. If that is the case, you would think he would IMMEDIATELY withdraw from the doubles as well. This hasn't happened as yet and Livescores is still showing the doubles for later today, so hoping for the best.
Logic suggests that Chadaj was playing with some sort of injury, gave it a go, got thrashed and decided to retire when it became clear he had no chance.
I would very surprised if this is not just another case of ITF messing up.
Hopefully Liam will tweet soon to clear it up.
Edit: Sure enough ^^

R1: (1) Liam Broady & Scott Clayton CR 1075 (454+621) defeated (WC) Jassem al Zeyara & Abdulla al-Jufairi (QAT/QAT) UNR by 0 & 0
Guess that is why they were 1000/1 on favourites when I looked on Bet365 earlier.
So Liam ends up that day winning 21 games out of 21 today. Can't ask for much more than that
we can! could have got singles done quicker and won 60 60! someone from my uni team lost 60 60 in singles and doubles against stirling's 5th team on his debut and we started calling him 24!

And Liam was absolutely right in his tweet when he said he bet that Chadaj would re-appear later that afternoon to play his doubles (i.e. not quite so injured as all that !!!)
So well done Liam :)
NB And Chadaj and partner, Schulz, won their doubles very nicely, 2 and 0.
