Good one from Josh's mum. The new one is less interesting though - the original was a decent tweet apart from the obvious bit:
"You gotta ask yourself why we put ourselves thru it, in that heat for not much money! I know y I do!. Cos I <I'll keep 'mum' about this word > love it! 6-1 5-7 6-3"

SF: (6) Josh Goodall WR 464 beat (3) Robin Kern GER WR 412 (CH 350 in Oct) by 2-6 7-6(3) 7-6(3)
just to add the tie-break scores :)
Well done, Josh - 'master' showing the student how it's done ?
NB love the fact that he's referred to as 'having nerves of steel' - our Josh ! The 'tall and hard-serving' sounded more like it and the back-handed compliment - 'sharpening his focus like he'd never done in the match up till then' or some such thing - not until 5-3 in the third . . . you gotta smile . . . . maybe a lesson in there for Harry . . .

Does anyone else get the feeling that Josh is enjoying playing more, now that he has "retired", than he ever did when he was still officially playing ?

Definitely. Great to see him playing well again and seemingly enjoying it again.
Still can't believe that it was only a year ago he was in and around the 200 mark.

Absolutely ! Isn't a bit like they say it is trying to get pregnant ? You spend ages really trying, doing all the right things, get stressed and nothing happens. And then you think, oh beggar it, and give up - and one month later, Bob's your uncle (so to speak !!! )
The writer makes it sound very exciting and a credit to both players. Here's a short excerpt:
"... the scoreline 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 which concealed the ferocity of a Goodall comeback from a seemingly hopeless situation in this two-hour contest under an unforgiving sun.
The Indian had turned 20 on November 8 and three weeks later he had picked up his maiden Futures title in the central Indian city of Raipur. Now a week on, he has another triumph to his credit.
Coming from a city like Chennai, which normally experiences weather of the hot, hotter and hottest kind as three seasons most of the year, Phnom Penhs heat presented no real threat to Ramanathan. But for his rival, it was a different story ..."
