I'm a bit surprised Dave is playing doubles here, winning the tournament here would get him into the top 300 which would be amazing for him so I would have thought he would concentrate on that after a long season. He's played singles and doubles all weekend in the county cup as well so must be a bit tired.
Yes, a little strange, especially with not just a chance to get into the singles top 300, but a semi final here would also get Dave up to the famous GB no 5 spot...
I'm not sure he was giving the county cup top priority. I think he lost a couple of matches he should have won on paper.
I also think this tournament was a late consideration to try and get into Aussie Open Qualies.
Well, he won two singles and lost one (in three sets) so I'm not sure it's fair to say that he wasn't giving county cup his top priority, just because he lost one match. And who knows with the doubles who was playing well and who not.
Frankly, I think that for a touring Pro to play three singles and three doubles, in three days, just for the love of it (assuming that, though maybe there's a financial arrangement with Herts.), well, that shows an amazing commitment.
I'm quite glad he's doing doubles in Turkey. I think he plays better when his doubles is also ticking along nicely.
well, it had been raining !!! I don;t think it's that unusual - just wondered if he had the right shoes - probably not, hence why he slipped and rolled his ankle.
