There must be quite a lot of exasperated ( or more ! ) punters if bets are declared null and void if a player retires anywhere near the end of a beating.
All three have very tough matches. I'm guessing Manisha would have the best chance, followed by Em and then Katie. Em is incorrectly priced with the bookies, I have it as a 50/50 match.
Weird the scoreboard is recording aces that haven't happened. I'm not sure she's served even half as many as it says.
I thought that too ! I definitely saw one service winner that suddenly clicked up as an ace. I reckon the umpire is just hitting the ace button on his gizmo for all the service winners . . .
It was a poor set from Katie but that's experience for you - she's got some lovely tennis. Manisha seems to be having a real ding-dong though - was a break down and got it back - long games, now 3-3
Brilliant scrapping from Manisha to take the second set 7-5
katie having trouble with her regular ground strokes, especially on the FH side but hitting some great attacking shots and still right in there - 3-4* to Cadar
It was terribly close but, overall, I think ET just about deserved it - her gameplan was more established (no surprise that she won the MP serving yet another wide swinging leftie serve that katie had had huge trouble with all match).
Katie will be very disappointed but it's still very clearly a 'work in progress' - lots of things to work on. Huge well done to her though - she played some great stuff.
