No double faults in the semi to 4 in one game today cry Oli was up a break in the second but they just helped him get broken back.

6-4 2-2*

It's been extremely windy there so players with higher ball tosses may well have a lot more double faults. And there's a real technique to serving in wind which maybe he hasn't really learnt
But I think that yesterday he had none. Which may mean it's just up and down. Or that it was less windy yesterday.
If the second serve is aggressive, I don't have much problem with quite a few doubles faults. But 11 does seem rather a lot !
Come on, Oli !

Was wondering about the wind but either way something to work on in the future I guess.

I know its only two less but Bet365 has it at 9dfs, ITF at 11. Who's right?

*5-6

I noticed that too ! And Bet365 has 0 for Cacic and ITF has 1 . . .

Brilliant. Don't know why - I was completely confident he was going to win.

Well done, and a great, hopefully healthy, way to make a comeback after surgery !

Strange. Nevertheless, Oli wins the tiebreak! the match! the title! Congrats to him! biggrin

Back to back tournament wins.

Very well played Oli Golding! biggrin

Would love him to take this form into at least 2 weeks of Qatar, picking up enough points to break 400! For someone who, perhaps, might have been a little over-confident in his abilities, to have a very difficult year (2 1-2 month injuries and a real lack of form, plus seeing the likes of Vesely and Thiem excel) yet seemingly not giving up and starting to come through it post hernia op is very pleasing. i wish him well.

Great news to wake up to. Well played Oli. Just gone above Dan Smethurst in the Race to London making him GB Nş1 in that list.

Can he threepeat when he goes to Qatar ? YES HE CAN.

Excellent news - I have a funny feeling Oli will have another big jump in the rankings come Wimbledon and may get a wildcard.
