RE: Week 47 - Greece F20 ($10,000) - Rethymno (hard)

Marcus & Lewis doubles s once again - & a foretaste for Marcus of what's to come in his singles semi:

Final: (1) Lewis Burton & Marcus Willis CR 729 (371+358) defeated (2) Nikola Cacic & Alexandros Jakupovic (SRB/GRE) CR 1036 (417+619) by 6-4 7-6(5)

That makes 6 10K doubles titles for Marcus in Lewis in the last 12 weeks, 8 doubles titles each in total this year, and 18 for Lewis / 14 for Marcus overall.

Congrats to Lewis and Marcus. That should take their CR ( combined ranking ) up to around the mid 600s.

And Oli holds to take the first set 6-4

That is the first set Trinker has lost in 9 matches.  Let's hope he now loses another one.

Oli will now go up to about WR 440 and if, if, he were to win it, he'd be back to about his CH.

Well done, Oliver, and good luck.

edit: and Marcus should get the prize for 'prediction of the week' - didn't he say he foresaw a doubles title and at least 6 points in the singles ? Wonder who he recommends for the Grand National next year ?

Both matches have now started and are on serve.

Oli *1-2
Marcus *2-3

Only thing to report is that Marcus has created 5 BPs already but not converted any as yet.

Come on, Oli - this really is good to see him playing well (well, scoring well!).

And Marcus is into a tie-break - but 1-3 down
