Week 47 - Greece F20 ($10,000) - Rethymno (hard)

and all that 'haway'-ing seems to be doing the trick !

Oli won the first set 6-3 and is leading 3-0

and Liam is 4*-3 up too

It's a race to the line . . . .

And both are at 5 in the second now - it's neck and neck . ..

And Liam close his out 6-1 6-3.

Oli is 5-1 so can't be too long (surely?) before it's three out of three in Greece, just like the women in Egypt.

Edit: one minute later Oli wins with an ace : 6-3 6-1

It appears that rain interrupted the Doubles final with Marcus/Lewis at 2-3* down.

Match is now scheduled to be completed tomorrow.

Marcus won the first set 6-1 but is 2-5 down in the second.

But he does say himself that he has the 'concentration of a goldfish' - bless . . . .

Well done. I'll have to try "Haway-ing" more often and see if it works again.

Good stuff all round, with Marcus one win away from his minimum target of 6 points, Liam one win away from the top 500 and Oli continuing on in good mode after last week.

Indeed, Liam is in a great position to advance further with just 6 points to defend by Wimbledon next year.

All three are pretty well set up for next year with the points that they have bagged post Wimbledon this year.

Post Wimbledon points ( incl 2 so far this week ) are : Marcus 78, Liam 61 and Oli 53.

Currently, WR 400 is 96 points and WR 300 is 146 points, so I think it reasonable to think all 3 can make the top 400 based on the year up to and including Wimbledon 2014 and indeed look towards the top 300. Marcus, in particular, would be well on the way if he won the title this week, and be looking further than that.
