Em and Dominique won their doubles 6-4 6-2  (beating the number one seeds)

and Katie won her doubles with de Sutter 6-4 6-3

AND Manisha and jessica got a walkover so we've got three teams into the semis (Em and Dom play Katie)

Excellent day all round - better than i expected.

Katie will be very close to her career high when these points get added, one more win will do it. Manisha is climbing the rankings nicely.

Em should win her QF, the other two girls have tough tasks(Katie has the better chance IMHO)

A very good day and yes, I'd agree with all that - Bruzzone has only played in Sharm since March (apart from one week back in Italy, where she lost in R1) and while she has won a title here (in July, beating Dasha in the Final, which may suggest an unusually weak draw that week) and reached two more finals in the last 8 months, she has racked up many of her points by reaching lots of QFs here, which generally isn't too hard to do if you are seeded.

Bruzzone has done very little since September and may well be over ranked. I definitely think Katie can win this.
