As well as capping off an excellent week on Crete, Luke & Oli's win means (counting individual winners, i.e. all-GB wins as 2) GB have a century of doubles title winners in ATP-ranked events for the first time I can remember
Obviously total title figures aren't that meaningful without a split between tournament levels (in particular, the increase in the number of 10Ks in the UKs accounts for part of the change), but the jump this year has been massive:
All but one of tomorrow's double-figure singles rises for Brits in tomorrow's (25 Nov) rankings are a result of this tournament (the exception is James Ward up 10 to 162 after Toyota)
- Oli rises 74 places to 482
- Liam rises 21 places to 518
Those two have more to add on Monday week, obviously - in Oli's case, a lot more!
- Luke rises 49 places to 780 (and 76 places to a new doubles career high of 547)
... which means he finally takes out his December 2012 career high and becomes the *51st* Brit to hit at least one new ATP singles career high this year. 54 Brits have made new doubles career highs too.
