RE: Week 46 - ITF ($10K) - Manchester, UK Hard

Aww, was at the end hoping Katy would get the win.

Nothing against Anna, but she got the title last week and what came with it, so with Katy so matching her today I would just like to have seen Katy prevail.

Anyway, you have my full support for tomorrow, Anna !

The French girl turning over Hoffman shows how well Grace played yesterday.

Anna should be too good for her opponent, but slightly worried as she made hard work of both her matches. Freya has a real tough game, the Belgian is very solid.

Hope they both get through, would go on Saturday if they both did. Fingers crossed.

Anna was running away with the first set, but has managed to lose it 7-5

Something clearly not right with Anna as she has hardly won a point in the second set and is about to be bagelled.

That's wretched news - the "something clearly not right" bit, not the potential loss itself (though the two are clearly linked)

Freya has lost the first set 6-2

And the 17 year-old French qualifier is currently winning the other match - strange to think that just a couple of months ago, she lost in the first round of the European Junior Championships to Izzy Wallace.

Freya got broken early in the second but did well to get it back to 3-3 against a girl who, by all accounts, is playing very well at the moment.

3-3

Freya seems to be generating chances on the Liebens serve but just not being able to take them. Liebens has taken 3/3 break points. Freya has converted 1/9.

She's 4-5 down in the 2nd, serving to stay in it.

Come on Freya!

Go on !

Well done, Freya.

Served for the second set at *6-5 surely. Consistent Brit player first helps my easily confused mind LOL
