Week 46 - Challenger ($50,000) - Champaign, IL, USA (hard)

And a Dan forehand winner (what else ?) gives them the title. Brilliant from both.

And for the last time - kerching, kerching !

edit - sorry Bob, hadn't seen yours - but this is a big kerching so another one is justified smile

Yes. I think on this occasion, a double Kerching is appropriate - one each for Ed and Dan.

Is that 1000 each they get on the Bonus scheme or 1000 to share between them ?

A really long hard singles final (hopefully Mr. Groth is just a tad weary and gives our lad in Japan a chance) - well done to Tennys.

And soon time for the doubles . . .

First set to Team GB 7-6(5) with the aid of a very nice little net chord late in the breaker

Ed and Dan get bagelled in the second although by the time it was 4-0, they had already seemed to settle for an MTB

So here we go with squeaky culo time.

Oh dear!  Second set down the pan by 0-6!

Everything now, inevitably, hangs on the CTB....

Would have been more but for the honesty of Ed Corrie. Point was given to Dan/Ed but Ed owned up to it tipping his racket before going out.

I didn't have the sound on and wondered what was happening - what a champ!
