OK. I get it.  They were certainly stuck on Deuce/Ad/Deuce etc for a long time.  Must have seemd like an MTO

Dan saved 6 BPs in the game.

Fun match to watch, even if the ending wasn't quite what one would have hoped. Well played to them both.

Fabulous effort throughout the week from Dan and 4 grand in the bank for his troubles - with possibly more to come if he can win the doubles this evening.

But also 32 ranking points, almost 1/3rd of his entire 2013 points gained in this one week.

Well played that man.

Great week for Dan and looks a fighting effort today from him. Hope it gives him a great deal of confidence, moving forward.

Tracking back through the tweets ...

@BadToss: "Corrie accidentally hits country mate Josh Milton with the ball. Seeing as Milton was sitting in the stands, he wasn't expecting it."

... and 2 screen grabs from @Challenger10s:

"Uncle Miltie back in good spirits after yesterday's heartbreaker. Good to see. #ChampaignCH" http://pic.twitter.com/IN57xHHmsE

... and that winning moment: http://bit.ly/1e9jHf5

So much good work from the guys this tournament and a final to top it all off! Nice reward for them particularly Dan after playing I think 6 days in a row.

Dan and Ed make the doubles final beating top seeds (and top 100 players) Groth and JPSmith

7-6(5) 6-2.

Groth a little weary perhaps but the guys played really well.

2nd change -Team GB up 7-5

Would have been more but for the honesty of Ed Corrie. Point was given to Dan/Ed but Ed owned up to it tipping his racket before going out.

Always good to see that type of honesty.
