RE: Week 46 - Challenger ($50,000) - Champaign, IL, USA (hard)

Josh really looked like he had run out of gas in that second set. I hope this is just a "rope-a-dope" strategy and he was saving himself for the 3rd. But I fear the worst here.

Nevolo has looked the stronger throughout the set so far, but Josh just keeps hanging in there.

Josh leads 5-4* No breaks of serve so far in the set.

Come on Josh. One big game right now please.

Gutted. Loses the tie-break with a DF from 6-2 up.

And he takes it. Best chance Milts will ever get for a semi gone

I really hope that when Josh looks back on this week, he will remember the fantastic performances that he has put in but I fear all he will remember is THAT smash.

I am gutted.

Now there's a thought. Perhaps it could be a requirement that future "Dan" tennis players change their name to avoid confusion - and then we could compete with the Thai and Malagasy players to see what we could come up with. Theodoricus Marylebone-Cholmondeley-Fulford? (Yes, that is a nod to our most colourfully named player of recent years) It would take the referee so long to work out how to pronounce/say their names that they and their opponents would get additional rest in each match!
