Here are some of next years new partnerships or old ones reuniting
Nestor/Zimonjic
Bopanna/Qureshi
Fleming/Hutchins
Lindstedt/Melzer
Roger-Vasselin/Benneteau
Rojer/Tecau
no news on Miryni and Melo but Dodiq is apparently focusing on singles next year all the other main teams i think are staying together although if anyone knows any others feel free to edit
I'd rather welcome a reunion of Mr Marray and Mr Nielsen (provided Mr Nielsen was prepared to focus on doubles) - certainly they had more success together than either has had with others. Really looking forward to the return of Mr Hutchins and Mr Fleming. Hadn't realised, until I just looked it up, that Mr Hutchins has far and away the longest stretch in the top 100 of any active British doubles player ... six straight years. All that and obviously very intelligent and quick-witted, too. Some people are just preternaturally gifted.
For those who know more than I, would Mirnyi and Marray work, if Mr Nielsen isn't interested?

Will be interesting to see what Jonny does next year because he really needs a top 30 player to keep playing the masters events. To be honest i would not be surprised if he plays with Freddie in Australia but I think he would be better finding a regular partner than playing with someone that would rather play a 10K futures than on the ATP tour
I would say that the Colin / Ross partnership was really clicking before Ross became ill. It has to my mind been the best regular all British partnership of recent years and clearly Ross was integral to that.
The Colin / Jonny partnership has not matched the Colin / Ross partnership, which while not necessarily meaning for instance that Ross is "better" than Jonny ( different pairs can just have more natural affinity ), it is certainly worthy of note.
I don't see enough doubles to truly rate different doubles players, but I would have thought the basic results evidence suggested Ross to be top class ( and to have been for a few years ). I am thus very surprised by Gary's comment.
Always nice as it is to see the Skupskis get a mention, I am not quite sure why they were randomly added to an interesting list of some of next year's new and reuniting partnerships.
Nice idea - i suspect Sean is behind this. It's his paypal account...
"Even though our rankings continue to improve and we're getting ever closer to the top 100, the prize money at tournaments is still very poor. There are many expenses that build up during a tournament week. Travel, accommodation, food to the small things like racket restringing and physio treatment. We try to play between 27 and 32 tournaments a year of which roughly 20 are abroad. In 90% of these tournaments unless we reach the final we will be at a financial loss each week."

Absolutely. And Sean is going to be even more strapped for cash this year as the doubles top-up bonus is cut. Several people have wondered how he's going to manage. But this is just doubles and I guess that's what the LTA is trying to do - force players not to give up on their singles. (Dave's figures are sustainable, Sean's not)
