Luke now 5-5

Stats say no BPs for Luke so far but he had at least 3 in the last game with the Greek serving at *4-5.

Edit

Stats have now updated and Luke 0/3 on BPs, all of which were set points.

L16: Oli Golding WR 577 beat (2) Carlos Gomez Herrera (ESP) WR 334 by 7-6(6) 6-2

QF: Luke Bambridge 863 v (Q) Evgeny Karlovskiy WR 974  (=CH)
QF: Oli Golding WR 577 v (5) Dimitar Kuzmanov (BUL) WR 431 (CH 428 last week)

Evgeny Karlovskiy beat (3) Dennis Novak in the L16 so is obviously a dangerous opponent.

Oli was an early break up but the 2nd seed has clawed it back - it's 4-4* in the 1st set.

Oli holds from 0-40 down (saving at least 4 set points) to take the 1st set into a tiebreak.

Oli went at least one mini-break up early in the tiebreak but the next time I looked, he was facing more set points at *4-6 ... which he has also saved

6-6(6-6*)

Nice! Let's see if saving all those set points tips the momentum in his favour. It usually goes that way...

Great win for Oli. Probably his best win for a long time. Hope that means he is finally back to full fitness because I have the feeling that he was playing through injury during the middle part of the season.
