When you look at Anna's losses this year she seems to have played many highly ranked players in draws. Had she not suffered with that she'd easily be top 400-500. Think with a good week next week the 500 mark is still possible.
Great result from Jasmine - good to see Anna win as well.
Anyone know what is the highest number of debut points from a British player?
Do you mean in their first senior event (probably not, since it isn't Jasmine's first event), first main draw or first ever counting score? Not sure why I am asking because I can't easily find a definitive answer anyway, but for example:
Heather got 8 points in her first main draw (Jersey 25K L16 in 2009) - it was her 2nd senior event but her first main draw, since she had gone out in Bath 10K qualifying the previous week.
Although she had scored just 1 point on her senior debut (Limoges 10K Q+16 in 2008), Laura got 50 points in her 2nd senior event (Shrewsbury 75K WC+SF)

Final: (3) Francesca Palmigiano & Camilla Roastella (ITA/ITA) CR 1035 (672+365) vs (2) Jos Rae & Anna Smith CR 748 (486+262)
Your version is funnier, and she certainly felt the heat against Jasmine today, but I think Camilla's surname is actually Rosatello
Whoops, so it is! Just goes to show how closely other posters looked at my previous doubles posts on this thread/how observant they were/how much they cared, or I'm sure someone would've said something by now... The irony is that I, as a lover of Italian cuisine, managed to type "Palmigiano" rather than "parmigiano"!
My guess is that people see the results, look at how the Brits have done, note that they were playing seeds and move on (especially when there are a few results from the same round), i.e. that no previous comment doesn't mean people ignore the results completely. I only checked it out today because I saw "Roastella," was pretty sure that wasn't what I had tweeted when Jasmine beat her earlier and immediately assumed what I usually assume in such cases, i.e. that I must have got it wrong!
As for her partner, if she had "shaved" through against a Brit, I would have been tempted despite the L for R thing ...

Yes, SC, just because we may not make much comment on many of your doubles posts and / or aren't that bothered about spellings does not mean that many people don't read and very much appreciate your posts.
I know I do, and this from someone who freely admits that I have much more interest in singles than in doubles.
