Being a bit pernickety or actually correct LOL, Dave is just on 126 since he already had 18 counters, so although he has added 7 so far this week he also drops 1. His 18th counter will now be 3.
As for that other "race" Salmon referred to, I think this forum would benefit from some point by point posts during matches and I'm your man !
Boys, boys ....
As someone who left 10K behind long ago, I find high post milestones embarrassing, not targets to be aimed at!
Still, I console myself by remembering how quickly Sheddie got to 18K - my posts per year frequency gets nowhere near what his must have been in the early years

Be interesting next year pre Wimbledon if there are some guys fairly close to WR 250, who have been competing quite regularly in challengers and winning a number of matches and another ( eg. Marcus ) who has got into the top 250, but that has been earned purely from futures with little / no attempts at challengers.
My feeling already was that there was a strong arguement that the "all futures" player would have to be fairly well within the top 250 to justify a Wimbledon MD WC recommendation. These challenger wins by Ed, Dave and Alex ( in South Korea ) have crystalised these thoughts further.
Marcus has had a great year, and I have nothing against him. But I am just thinking that with Gary already advising that a major aim is to go for that Wimbledon MD WC ( and I understand it financially ) he and Marcus must remain very aware that top 250 in itself has never guaranteed a Wimbledon MD WC recommendation in the wording the LTA have used in previous years.
Now it may be that Marcus will move on to compete in a number of challengers in the first half of 2014, and if he does I wish him every sucess.
Ahh heartbreaker. They had two match points, one on their own serve at 9-7 but Dave missed a volley. Then at *9-10 ball clips the net and goes over Sean's head.

Surely it's the all England club that decides WC for Wimbledon
The lta put a list of names they recommend for WC to the committee at Aeltc but Aeltc still pick the WC and don't always do what the lta would like so Marcus will have to perform really we'll to earn a MDWC as they don't exactly hand them out to any british player
Yes, I was specifically talking about the LTA WC "recommendations" to the AELTC ( it is the LTA that have the top 250 guideline ).
It is indeed the AELTC that ultimately decide on the WCs and although they can ( and apparently do at times ) vary from the LTA recommendations re British WCs, the LTA recommendations do appear to be a very important part of the process.
