I was lucky enough to have chat with Boris Becker at Barclays hospitality at the 02 today and he said he was very impressed with Marcus Willis's rapid rise up the rankings this year .
Didn't Evo sign up with the French company Lagardere or have I missed something ?
Thats correct A1 is not managing Evo but he has agreed to agreed to play for The A1 Pharmaceuticals tennis academy in the premier ( National indoors ) Doubles tournament . The event organiser is very pleased that we are helping bring Evo to the event .
The tournament founder & director is mike Dixon who is one of the unsung heroes of GB mens team tennis and A1 Pharmaceuticals plc are a proud sponsor of his unique Event that mike has struggled and persevered with over many years
We feel it's important that such events are supported as they can be an important source of funding particularly futures players they also help keep GB ATP players supporting GB team events instead of being lost to french & German club league
Our A1 national indoors squad includes Marcus willis ( captain ) , Lewis Burton , Dan Evans & Rob carter .
A 5th player is yet to be announced .
The finals are in Sunderland end of march 2014 .

Thats at Doxford Park if I remember correctly, also I'm sure the likes of Jo Durie have played there in the past, certainly made the local news.

Taking Kent no1 Lewis Burton to the 02 to watch fed & nadal tomorrow with fellow teams players from our Kent & north Kent men's 1 & mixed teams tomorrow . Then dropping Lewis to heathrow for the flight to Heraklion , crete for the last 2 futures of 2014 .
Goal is to lift a 8th doubles title idea and a min of a SF in the singles for Marcus Willis

Tennis commentator Paul Cumberbatch is with us at the Barclays ATP world tour SF Fed v Nadal . Fed has a huge crowd behind at the 02 arena but Paul believes that Nadals relative youth will edge it !

Or perhaps the fact that Nadal has had the best year of his career in 2013, easing to world #1 despite missing the AO and all the warm up tournaments, the fact that Nadal has a 21-10 record against Fed prior to the match, the fact that this has been by far Fed's worst year since winning Wimbledon and the fact that the bookie's had Fed as a significant underdog would have been more of a factor than Nadals youth. Not the biggest insight from Mr PC, but at least he was correct.
