It was great to see Fitzy's post. I was thrilled that he is focusing on his coaching career and, therefore presumably, he's enjoying it and quite good at it.
I think he fell on his feet at Wimbledon, and largely thanks to his own initiative and being a nice guy, which is why it's wonderful to see just rewards.
Completely irrelevant comment but I have a son about the same age and, if it were my son (and he actually wanted my input!), I'd say 'go for the coaching career, no question, you've got a great opportunity'.
Fitzy flung in his first two double faults of the match ( indeed the first by either ) in a long game in which Lewis had his first BPs of the match. He came though though.
Lewis breaks to take the second set 7-5. Think Fitzy's serve may have latterly gone a bit off. Seemed to be a lot of 2nd serves apart from these two doubles.
Its difficult to focus on watching burts on court 3 because josh Goodall is putting up a huge fight on court 2
JD broke 3 times in the first set but still lost 1st set .
Josh just hit unbelievable volley .
Looking back to ct 2
Burts leads 6-5 on serve Could be heading for a tie break or a 3rd set
Can't help thinking that win or lose if JD can still play like this be a Shame to retire but I guess if keeps his hand in & regularly plays singles will help his charge Harry Meehan build his doubles ranking prior to a full retirement from singles in about 12-24 months .
