RE: Week 44 - Great Britain F23 ($10,000) - Edgbaston (hard)

To be fair some of our guys have under performed/out of form/coming back from injury- Marcus, Oli, Liam, Josh G or it would have looked much better.

It doesn't appear to be on live scores but Willis and Burton won their doubles QF just before I left. I think it was 4 and 3.

I did smile at the to be fair some of our guys have underperformed / been out of form ( / coming back from injury )

Ah, that's OK then !

I'll console myself that St Mirren would be much higher in the league if we had just shown some decent form.

My best guess is that Tom is playing very well this week, winning his last 4 sets for the loss of only 6 games against good opposition.
I know that Liam doesn't like playing him, and it goes right back to their junior days. From what I've seen of Tom, he is very strong mentally and a tough opponent to break down, he basically doesn't give you any free points, in a way similar to Ed Corrie.

Hadn't realised that Kedders had GF, such a shame but at least with the likes of Hev/Fitzy having suffered with the same problem this year he should be getting some good advice.

Yep Fitzy is a gym fanatic, so I have no doubt, he will have kept in tip top shape whilst helping out Sloane. Seems as well as if his GF is now under control, or at least heaps better.

Just for anyone coming to this thread late and not reading it all the way through, as far as I know it hasn't been confirmed that GF is what Kyle is out with yet. (it is one plausible explanation though, obviously)

Fair play - just trying to point out on paper this was a much stronger GB field than last week.

I sincerely hope Kyle doesn't have glandular fever.

I read some of the earlier posts shortening it to GF and was reading it as "girlfriend" and was very confused! (I did cotton on before TMH's post, I hasten to add!)

Some might say that a girlfriend could be a much more serious impediment to a successful tennis career.

Ha Ha, must admit I first read Phil's post as : seems as if Fitzy's girlfriend is now under control ( I had forgotten he had glandular fever too ) in spite of GF clearly referring to Kyle's possible ( I believe we don't know for sure ) glandular fever in the paragraph before.

Were you the guy in the red tie & suit that came up to me ring side at edgbaston

After B& B defeated stoute & bothwell & said that I was sponsoring the wrong player !

I should be sponsoring Issac Stoute I thought that was hilarious .

Scott clayton is improving as a doubles player and normally pairs with Toby martin

Who was unbeaten for our A1 Pharmaceuticals aegon team

Last season
