While Marcus and Lewis have been very consistent, the above doubles draw is some indication as to why I think 10K doubles futures titles must be put into context. And while they are clearly good prospects, challenger doubles will be very much more of a proving ground.
The latest GB year to date ranking points, highlighting in particular the "battle" for the year end 5th place.
4. Dan C - 186 ranking points from 18 counters
5. Ed - 126 from 16
6. Dave - 120 from 18
7. Marcus - 117 from 18 ( 119 from 20 )
8. Kyle - 110 from 14
9. Ashley - 94 from 14
This includes Dave's 5 points for challenger qualifying this week. Marcus currently adds for any score in excess of 1, so will draw level with Ed if he reaches the final here, earning 10 points, i.e. a net 9.
Is there some sort of style mismatch with Tom and Liam ??
A not very on-form of late Tom in the end decisively wins again over a Liam giving it his all...
Tom thrashed Liam at Bath earlier in the year. Liam was absolutely awful that day and it resulted in his one of his epic temper tantrums. It probably isn't a great memory when he walks on court to play Tom
Not in cricket. I can't remember any cricketer, young or old, who was diagnosed with glandular fever in the recent past. There might be one or two, but surely not even 5% of the no. of people in tennis.
Edit: apart from James Faulkner, I guess.

Currently Marcus & Lewis have a projected CR of under 600 by end of feb/march 2013 when their ranking would get them into main draw of most challenger events when I would expect their current win ratio 82% ( since July ) or 90% + ( last 5 T ) to drop to around 50% .
Richard Bloomfield has confirmed that after recovered from tendonitis of the wrist still keen to continue playing whilst building his coaching qualifications

After watching yesterday's doubles matches Biggest threat to Marcus & Lewis appears to be ward hibbert & hoyt . The stirling UNI pair is weaker in Callum gee absence .

Crepaldi & marzi bambridge / Morgan are other strong Doubs pairs .
Bomb wins a controversial 1st game in the 3rd set when F had break point
Because F stopped when felt neighbouring court infringed & bomb saved & went on to win that important potentially match changing opening game of the 3rd
I think the umpire is excellent but C the Slovak player standing next to me that with drew last week says he is one of worst
Umpires on tour ! Lol
