Jo should have had this done and dusted (no idea about the MTO but she had three more BPs and frittered them away).

Now Tara has broken back.

Jo's serve has been miles better than Tara's, as has her backhand, and she's taken advantage of Tara's weaknesses. But Tara's FH winners can turn a game around.

Jo's been the better player overall though . . .

Yes that's the usual story. Massive first serves that should be accompanied by the shout of "BANG" every time. Until her serve becomes predictable and until her opponent capitalises on the technical weaknesses on the backhand side. Hopefully not today, but I wouldn't bet against it.

Saw the first set yesterday and all the match so far today and that reporter in Nigeria is quite right - it's great to see Naomi in full flight !

She's just got the double break and now serves for the match - and completely deserved, super match. Just a little bit more . . .

Naomi was a big underdog in this match with the bookies, but I didn't want to jinx her by tipping the upset. Back to her best for sure or certainly close to it.

Wow! Great result and well deserved too. from a technique point of view it looks all wrong, let's be honest, so it could all unravel very quickly, but my word she does have some weapons which border on unplayable when firing. Brilliant.
