Excellent Dave - good win and 5pts to boot.

The qualifying spots look a bit tough - two seeds, Sandgren and Hernandez.

What players do we currently have on tour that came out of the US system? Did Neal Skupski go through it?

I couldn't remember Dave losing in Challenger qualifying since he lost to James Ward in Nottingham during the grass court season, so I checked and it turns out he is now on a 14-match winning streak in Challenger singles qualifying, and those wins have taken him into the last 7 Challenger singles main draws he has tried to qualify for! biggrin

There is the break. Time for Josh to serve well.

Josh puts a lot less on the ball than Ryan but he's managed to neutralise and frustrate Ryan and hold it steady.

5*-2

Two match points but one DF and one saved by excellent play by Shane.

3*-5 Ryan to serve

3 more MPs go begging but mostly down to big serves from Shane.

Josh calls for the trainer at *5-4

Three more MPs, three morre excellent serves from the American. And now Josh calls for a trainer. A bit of tactical stuff ? (and possible a slightly sore back . . . ?)
