Kim looks surprisingly good for an unranked wild card - decent serve, some good shots, which explains why he is 3-2* up on serve. Dan looks a lot better though, so I'm not getting too concerned yet ...

Yes, Evo hasn't been playing particularly badly in the bits I've seen (not at his best, but he's not having a stinker), but Kim has been solid enough on serve to give himself the chance, and when it finally came, he took it.

Yep I'd agree I don't think Dan's played badly, which makes Kim's performance even more impressive. Gunna be one of those days where he really needs to keep his concentration because as you say Kim could be in position to strike if this form continues and Evo falters a little.
Monster FH winner of the 2nd serve gives Dan the security break. He is playing solid, consistent tennis. Kimis not being given enough time and is making errors.
