Both rich and Marcus win their first round quals in the challenger in Seoul. 2nd round tomorrow. #winning

Care to elaborate because I don't see how the tweet indicates confusion on their part.

May have something to do with the fact that it was Ashley playing and not Marcus.

They were obviously talking about Team Bath player Marcus Daniell.

It wasn't safe to be seeded in qualifying - only 1 of the 8 seeds has made the FQR!

QR2: (q6) Ashley Hewitt WR 355 lost to Na Jung-Woong (KOR) WR 431 (CH 404 in Sep) by 4 & 0 bleh
QR2: Richard Gabb WR 410 beat (q8) Jason Jung (USA) WR 398 (CH 393 in Sep) by 4 & 4 biggrin

FQR: Richard Gabb WR 410 v Toshihide Matsui (JPN) WR 477 (CH 261 in 2006)

Matsui has won his last two Challenger FQR matches and upset 2nd seed Pavic in QR2.

L32: (7) Dan Evans WR 151 v (WC) Kim Young Seok (KOR) UNR (junior no. 36, CH 25 in Jun)

Dan plays on Monday at about 05.00 BST. Kim lost 4 & 3 to Kyle Edmund in Wimbledon juniors, beat Jonny O'Mara in 3 at US Open juniors and has lost to Luke Bambridge twice this year.

Well done Rich.

Should be streamed here again http://www.e-tennis.tv. As well as all the other places.

Channels 8 and 9, Centre Court and it says Court 2 but it has Rich's FQR match scheduled, which is on Court 3 on the ATP schedule I checked. So... I don't know.

PS Marcus Daniell was in the draw. Unfortunately he lost in the second round. (And was a little bit injured, per team bath twitter)

But Marcus Daniell wasn't playing Challenger qualies in Seoul.

No doubt I'm missing something ...

Oops, I forgot that he was non-GB and still Team Bath. Then again, I was looking at that at about 4 in the morning, so for once I might be able to forgive myself for getting confused!

Hoping for Dan to get back into the groove here and end the year on a high after what's been a fantastic summer for him.

Congrats, Richard. Looks like he has a fairly winnable match, so I hope he'll get the win and draw Wu Di Allen in the first round.

Early break for Dan, only saw the last couple of points. Dan had excellent defence, Kim missed an easy over head  2-1  Dan to serve

Dan ends with a forehand winner down the line to take the match.

Well done to Evo. He may not be in the UK but he weathered the storm and then rose his level.

5-7 6-2 6-1

Won 10 of the last 11 games.

Edit: 11 of the last 12 in-fact.

FQR: Richard Gabb WR 410 lost to Toshihide Matsui (JPN) WR 477 (CH 261 in 2006) by 7-6(9) 6-4 bleh

I imagine a lot hinged on that long tiebreak in the 1st set. To add insult to injury, Matsui did get the player you mention in R1.

Updating the R1 match with Evo's new ranking:

L32: (7) Dan Evans WR 149 v (WC) Kim Young Seok (KOR) UNR (junior no. 36, CH 25 in Jun)

... and checking the stream, this should be starting soon on http://e-tennis.tv/ Channel 8 because the previous match has just finished.
