Entries Week 46 - 11/11/2013

Coxy is going to get a direct entry into the Andria Challenger in Week 47. Hopefully this'll be his last tournament for the year (no messing around in Futures, please) and then the real hard work begins.

Evo and Dino are DEs at Toyota. AWard, Calvin, Gabb and Oli G are alternates.

Week 47 is the last Challenger week of the year, so this will almost surely end the season for Evo and Dino. But if they're on the cusp of getting into the AO, who'd blame them for taking a WC into some 15K?

Edit: on second thought, that's not possible. Even if they played a Futures in Week 48, the points would be added too late to make any difference.

But now he has withdrawn from the Greek Futures. Instead, he's due to play in Cyprus (on clay!!).

But now he's back in the Greece entry list, it seems. I'm fairly sure that he wasn't there when I last checked!!

Anyway, what matters is that Marcus is due to play in Greece. But the jury is still out on whether he should rest or play, I suppose.

WC's for Manchester should be out tomorrow, but probably already decided prior to today's results. Expect Amy Sargeant, Lauren McMinn, Maia Lumsden, Izzy Wallace, Jess Ren, Beth Askew, Jasmine Asghar and Freya Christie to be in contention for the four places. Although expect Amy, Maia, Jasmine and Freya to get them.

Wildcards announced for Manchester:

Main draw - Freya, Maia, Issy and Jasmine slightly harsh on Amy Sargeant, but I guess the talent scouts may want to see her play a few more games and thus go down the qualifying route.

Q draw - Georgia, India, Charlotte Pearce, Beth

So almost certainly 7 GB girls direct(Jess Ren should make it) in plus 4 WC's and some qualifiers. Another good chance for more points.

The cut for Champaign has dropped to 445, so Milton will probably get a good seeding in the qualies.

Evo has withdrawn from Yokohama.

A pity Jade withdraw from Dubai qualies - there are only 3 ranked players in the qualifying draw so she'd have either got into the main draw or had to beat one or two unranked players to get 6 points for qualifying.

Coxy has made it to the main draw.

Milton is 2 withdrawals away, but I hope that he'll play in qualies, since he needs the points badly.

The Q draw is out and it looks as though a whole heap of other GB girls have made the  main draw too - so there must have been a lot of withdrawals.
