RE: Week 42 - Great Britain F21 ($10,000) - Loughborough (Hard)

Marcus served for the set at *5-4 but was roken by Myles. so 5-5 now. This could be close.

I saw that too. The scoreboard showed 15-40 for a moment but then reverted back to 30-30, so I think the Ump pressed the wrong button. Myles did have an MP later in the game but Marcus held on.

Into another tiebreak we go.

Marcus takes the 2nd set on the tie break.

Normal service is gradually being resumed in Loughborough - for now.

Something very wierd going on. The livescores are now saying Myles WON the tiebreak and with it the match 7-6 7-6

Well, what can one say but well done Myles - excellent result for you - enjoy, and good luck in round two.

Biggest scalp of his career to date well done, 711 places higher than marcus.

Marcus was definitely 6-2 up. I can only assume that the Ump pressed the wrong button again, giving the set to Marcus, and then corrected it to show 6-3 (although I didn't see that)

Myles must have won 6 points in a row to take the tie break 8-6.

Assuming there are no more sudden changes, congrats to Myles. That is a big win against a highly in-form Marcus.

For all we know they could still be playing and the umpire hasn't noticed yet as he made some errors he was 6-2 up then 7-2 which showed 84 to 83 points to marcus. winning points was 89 to 84 to Myles. What effect will this have on Marcus in the doubles later.

Dave Rice is about to come through in 3 sets.

No disrespect to Myles, but Marcus shouldn't be losing to a player of that ranking, if he has ambitions to play at a very high level.

Third quarter quite weak a chance for Burton Orton Coupland or Carter to make semis at least.

Just read back a bit and saw the bit about the dodgy scoreboard antics in the 2nd set tiebreak - the result has been confirmed on the ITF drawsheet, but that may just be feeding off the live scoreboard. If Myles did win, it would be his first top 400 scalp and a very good win indeed. I wonder if Marcus found it hard to adapt to the cold after a few weeks in Kuwait, though Myles must have played a blinder either way.

Lewis didn't seem to have any problem adapting to the cold but he is something of a nemesis for Tom - he is now 4-0 against him in Futures.

I wonder what happened in Dave's match - that was quite a turnaround!

Neil must stop giving opponents a set start (not that he means to, I'm sure!) - it was bound to start biting back at him in the end.

Agree Jaggy - good chance for Rob Carter to get to the semi's. My money's on him to meet Marcus Daniell.

Top half should see Ashley make the semis, but could meet any of Josh G, De Loore or Grigelis
