Marcus has utmost respect for the acheivements of Rice and Thornley,he's not the kind of person to jeer at people.Wind them up yes!!

That's very true Sean Thornleys success in doubles has definitely been an inspiration & lets see if i am still all smiles  after a SF clash in the doubles between the 1st & 3rd seeds .

It could turn out to be a very strange bottom half of the draw with 2 seeds already out (Tom and Neil) and the other 2 seeds (Marcus and Dave) are both a set down.

Having said that, there is still time for some comebacks.

Pity Sean isn't playing singles reckon he could have got a couple of points here now.

Anyone know what's happened to Jack Carpenter he seems to have disappeared as has Slabba.

I'd been wondering about Jack too  - any news anyone ???

Also, where's RJA ? not around ?

Saying now that marcus has lost. 8-6 in tie break what is going on when it showed 1 set all 84 to 83 points to marcus. Think it wasn't hot enough for marcus.

scores were showing him 6-2 up. were steven when you need him.

I don't know about anyone else, but I am starting to hope that Lewis and Marcus get stuffed in the doubles and I don't even care about doubles!!

That made me laugh for a moment but I hope people won't start disliking Lewis and Marcus just because of A1 saying stuff like that. I'm far more inclined to believe Polly (she's known Marcus for a lot longer, after all!) and anyway, whatever was actually said/ laughed about in the car, everyone has to let off steam from time to time and banter about other players probably figures in that a lot. The difference is, it usually stays private because they don't have A1 in the car to report it all on here! wink

As for us, I bet all of the players who ever look at this forum (even the ones who might appreciate some of the stuff we do) have a good laugh at us sometimes - we (like all forums, probably) are very easy to caricature (just see those threads Akhenaten did a couple of years back) and I don't have any problem with that if it's done in a good-natured way.

As you might be able to tell, I'm a bit less grumpy this morning smile I'd only had 2 hours' sleep the night before last and that went quite a long way to making you-know-who seem even more annoying than usual ...

Like to make it clear that Marcus loves everybody . It was gary Lewis that thought the suggestion of swapping partners was hilarious  but that's no reflection on the ability of the Sean Thornley & David Rice partnership they did extremely well to justify a Wimbledon WC .

Am I allowed to mention about Laura's movement here: I think it's a topic that's sorely missed! wink

Ash a set up. Young Isaac struggling to make an impact so far (a set and a break down). Neil doing his usual habit of making life difficult for himself by starting to play from set down. All level between Malik & Strachan.
