Week 42 - ITF ($50K) - Limoges, France Hard

5 breaks in a row. But Tara gets the last one and will try and serve for the match.

Edit: Which she does to love. Because why not. Haha. Well Done Tara! 3-6 6-3 6-3

That's a really good win

L32: Tara Moore WR 205 beat Jovana Jaksic (SRB) WR 161 (CH 159 in Aug) by 3-6 6-3 6-3 biggrin

L16:
Tara Moore WR 219 v Kristyna Pliskova (CZE) WR 155 (CH 86 in Jan)

Pliskova edged out 2nd seed Lucic today. The ITF H2H is 1-2 - Tara won in 3 sets at a 25K in 2010 but lost to her in straights in the Roehampton junior Final the same year and in a 75K last year.

Good luck to Tara, who should be out on court soon.

My friend Ana Konjuh receiving a battering from her opponent today. 0-6 1-4* down! I checked out the young Ukranian opponent and it turns out she's only 10 months older than Ana, just 16, and only ranked in the 700s on the ladies tour. Wowsers!

Now this shouldn't be happening, but it is......an unexpectedly good performance from a much lower ranked, less noted player. The joy of sport............How I wish some of our younger GB girls could step up from time to time and achieve results like this, but it rarely ever happens.

Tara wins the second set 6-3 but is instantly a break down in the third.

And now a break up , * 3 - 1

Good to see Tara fit again and competitive.

Now win the match !

That is indeed a really good looking win for Tara, well done.

Would be good to see Tara back inside the top 200 by year end, maybe quite well inside.

Certainly by her consistency she is limiting any down side, since she will now have a second "8" outside her "best 16" to as a minimum replace the two "14s" that she is defending over the coming two weeks.

Tara is an early break down but that didn't stop her yesterday. :)

(Good point indiana about the 'next best' scores - she's one of the few to have such a consistent results sheet as to make this possible)

First set Pliskova 6-2. Looks like she's really on song today so far ( hopefully much more that than Tara being off ). Tara not getting much of a look in.

Hang in there, Tara. Things can change.
