Phew!  Ed finally recovers the break:  *5-5.  Still not out of the woods, though...

Very long game on Nevolo's serve at 6-5* trying to force a tiebreak. Multiple deuces, multiple game points and 3 set points for Ed...

Tiebreak it is though. Come on Ed!

And, like a man, up to the plate he stepped !

Now for the third . ..

Am I right that he and Josh have already played one doubles today (not together), one singles and have another doubles to play after ?

No, the first doubles finished at around 10pm last night but since that was 4 am UK time, the scoreboard seems to be treating it as if it had been played today.

The new router that has just been fitted means the internet is flying.

Unfortunately it also seems to have Ed's score going far too quickly on the wrong direction.

*4-0 down now.

Only 1 from 11 break points converted.......it could have all been so different. Its an understatement to say Ed has not shown his early season form but, I do get the impression he is not as far away as results imply.

Unfortunately Ed's whole trip to the US was a disappointment. He's due to go back (or will he just stay on?) so hopefully he'll sort himself out before then.
