What a shame. My 20 in the top 500 takes another hit.

Dan S is on 66 points YTD and at the moment, 68 are needed to be in the top 500 (69 to be sure). I notice that Dan isn't down to play again in the next couple of weeks so I hope this is not the end of his season.

So the chances of getting to 20 at the end of the season are looking slimmer by the day. And it is already a long shot at best anyway.

Oh, believe, Bob. Josh M is still going here and you probably need him assuming Jamie remains retired..

..as well as needing, as you say, Dan S...

..as well as Boggo, Neil, Oli and Liam.

OK, didn't say it would be easy !

I may be completely incorrect, but I faintly recall reading that Nick Chappell is related to the Chappell brothers. Greg certainly has a bit of an American sports connection.

Nothing on Google indicates that I am correct, so maybe it's another Australian cricketer and some other young American tennis player.

It gets better:

R1:  Josh Milton & Eric Quigley (USA) CR 2103 defeated Andrew Carter & Hans Hach (USA/MEX) UNR by 0 & 2
R1:  (3) Ed Corrie & Dan Smethurst CR 1193 defeated Marko Krickovic & Vincent Thierry Schneider (GER/GER) UNR by 7-5 5-7 [10-4]

****

QF:  Stefan Kozlov & Alexander Zverev (USA/GER) UNR vs Josh Milton & Eric Quigley (USA) CR 2103
QF:  James McAvoy & Pablo Pérez (USA/ARG) vs (3) Ed Corrie & Dan Smethurst CR 1193

Curiously, the opponents of both "our" pairs reached the QFs courtesy of a walkover.

4-0* now. Needs a few good weeks though with all the points to defend.
