Delighted for Liam.

Pity for JWH, but he has had (is having) another good week.

Like DWH, I did think it might be a bit closer.

Brilliant from Liam, never feel he always gets the credit he deserves. He's had a tough time on and off the court, but this lad has all the talent and ability needed to get into the top 100 eventually and stay there.

And the 6 points means he's just about covered the 8 points he has coming off before the end of the year so he can relax and know that he's pretty much assured his year-end ranking and everything else is a bonus. Which must feel nice . . .

Good start from Luke and Evan towards ensuring an all-Brit final.

3*-0 up.

Liam Broady ‏@Liambroady 30m

I would never wish an injury upon any athlete but after a day like today we'll take what we can get. Singles semis & doubles finals tomorrow

Don't know quite what Liam means - are conditions really bad ? Did Josh and him not want to play ? or play really badly/ really well ? have a stomach bug all night ? lost their rackets ?

Meanwhile, Luke and Evan win the first set 6-2

Congratulations to both pairings. Am I correct in thinking that this is Mr Hoyt's first final? If so, particular congratulations to him on reaching this milestone (and in such fine company all around).
